KDA or Ministry of Religious Affairs in Figures is a book owned by the Ministry of Religious Affairs. The KDA book contains important data about the non-Muslim population, places of worship, madrasah and pesantren. So this time we were given the task of digitizing the book, but the data that will be used is limited to data on non-Muslim population, data on places of worship, and adding activities organized by the Ministry of Religious Affairs.

Abstract
As technology continues to advance, websites have become an effective medium for conveying information. The Ministry of Religious Affairs (Kemenag) of the Yogyakarta Special Region (DIY) faces challenges in managing data on nonMuslim residents and places of worship, which is still done manually. This study aims to design the user interface (UI) and user experience (UX) for the "Kemenag Dalam Angka" (KDA) website using the Design Thinking methodology. The research includes the stages of empathize, define, ideate, prototype, and testing to produce innovative solutions that meet user needs. The research process involved interviews and usability testing using the Maze Design application. The KDA website for general users was designed with 9 main features and tested by 9 respondents, resulting in a 92% success rate, indicating a user-friendly design. Meanwhile, the admin website, with 10 features, was tested by 9 respondents and achieved a 66% success rate, suggesting that the admin website design is not yet user-friendly and requires further evaluation on several features. This study demonstrates that the application of the Design Thinking method can enhance the quality of the UI/UX design of the KDA website. The findings of this research can serve as a reference for the development of similar websites in the religious sector and as instructional material for information systems students.
Background
The Ministry of Religious Affairs is one of the institutions that has important data on non-Muslim religious populations, places of worship, and activities related to the religion. However, this data was previously only available in the form of a book known as “Ministry of Religious Affairs in Figures” or commonly referred to as KDA.
In this case study, the Regional Office of the Ministry of Religious Affairs of the Special Region of Yogyakarta also encourages services and administration carried out in the office using a website system or online application, which not all administrative subdivisions in the Regional Office of the Ministry of Religious Affairs of the Special Region of Yogyakarta have applications to store administrative data based on their respective subdivisions. In this case study in the sub-section of the Data and Information Planning Center (PERDATIN) of the Regional Office of the Ministry of Religious Affairs of the Special Region of Yogyakarta to collect information about population data and places of worship still use manual data recording using Microsoft Excel and archived in the form of a book with the title “Ministry of Religion in Figures” which is produced regularly every year. The process of data collection is taken by the PIC (Person in Charge) at the City Ministry of Religion starting from searching for data in the field, data collection by the PIC of the City Ministry will later be given to the work unit in the Yogyakarta Regional Office of the Ministry of Religion, then the data will be requested by the author of the Kemenag Dalam Angka book through a survey form letter to work units. Which then after processing the data into a book. The data is also provided to the Ministry of Religious Affairs internal statistical institutions and other statistical institutions such as BPS (Central Bureau of Statistics) and Bappeda (Regional Development Planning, Research and Development Agency).
In this case, the data taken is in the form of population data and non-Muslim places of worship in the Special Region of Yogyakarta in the Ministry of Religion in Figures book. Currently, population data and places of worship are still managed manually using Microsoft Excel records and physical archives in the form of books. This causes the process of managing data and searching for the data needed to take a long time, and is vulnerable to data loss or damage.
Problem
Based on what is stated in the background, the problem formulation in the research is obtained and developed in the form of how to apply the Design Thinking method to the design and construction of user interfaces and user experience on the Ministry of Religion in Figures (KDA) website that is user friendly when used by users.
Goals
To produce a website design for the Ministry of Religious Affairs in Figures that meets the needs and expectations of users with good interface design, navigation, and interaction.
To find out how the Design Thinking method can be used in the process of designing the Ministry of Religious Affairs website.
